Imagine trying to travel around Britain without our road and rail network. Or imagine if nine out of every ten miles of road just didn’t exist – life would be impossible! Are you on a B-Line? Standing in the garden yesterday, daydreaming, and soaking up the warm rays...

Bat roosts
The place a bat lives is called its roost. Bats need different roosting conditions at different times of the year and they will often move around to find a roost that meets their needs. Some bats prefer hollow trees, some like caves and some use both at different...
Furzy’s battle
After his late-night feed Furzy sprawled out on the floor of his pen and was not looking good. I was not happy, but there was no more I could do. Feeding a little and often paid off though, as this morning I found him hanging upside down on his heat pad and he seemed...
One poorly bat
At work, and another rescue on its way. I now have male BLE. He's been outside on the ground for the past 28hrs and is not in good shape. I think it was a close call as he looks rough and is totally unresponsive. For sure he wouldn't have survived another night out...
Moorhens

New arrival
My beautiful girl Luka bear, with Freya who arrived this day in 2016. Saying hello for the first time. Can’t believe they are now the same size. Luka was so gentle with her.
Baby Orang

Bats are Brilliant
This morning I received the best Christmas gift ever. Little Joey ate his meal by himself last night and presented me with a clean dish this Christmas morning. As a fellow bat carer said: 'He has given you the Gift of Time.' I am absolutely over the moon! A lovely...
Festive Hugs
Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who has supported me through my artwork and with my bat rescue/conservation work this year. The last two years have been challenging for everyone, and have shown us all the value, importance, and power of art and...
