Another bat rescue! I had decided I wouldn’t accept any more bats for a few weeks as my artwork is being affected, esp. with Toad Patrol now in full swing. And then this chap arrived on my doorstep today, and I wonder how I could ever say ‘no can do’ ‘
This is Valentino, a slightly underweight brown long-eared bat found at the bottom of a wall in a church. He has gained a little weight since arrival and seems quite content to be handled. Here he is warm, cosy after his midnight meal.
