Tools For Africa

Sep 28, 2011 | Diary, Family, Larmer Tree Studio

In the early morning sunshine today, Brian and I were stacking a pile of tools for Africa. Dawn was stunningly beautiful! I really should get up earlier more often.

We’ve been collecting tools for Africa for many years, and thank you to all who have donated throughout these years.  We’ve met some lovely folk along the way, and it is super to know that all our old tools, which still have plenty of life left in them, are being put to good use.

In the above photo, we have all sorts ready for collection: carpentry, woodworking tools, hammers, drills, electric saw table, old hand-operated sewing machines, shovels, picks, scythes, typewriters, and more. Ron, the driver, likes his cup of tea, so off to put the kettle on now.
