Two more rescue bat calls today and springtime hasn’t even started.I wondered what was going to appear when I received this box and gingerly removed the lid. A tiny female Pip bat, in a box big enough for a fruit bat. Lol!!
The first day of spring this year is March 20th. February is now here and bats are still hibernating. They have little fat left to live off of now and may leave the roost on warmer nights to find food and a drink of water. More about what bats are up to throughout the year:
