Snoozy

The kindness and understanding of batty-loving friends and bat finders has been overwhelming these past few weeks. A couple of weeks ago, I received a message from a young, kind bat-loving friend offering to support and help me with my bats. The thought was so very much appreciated, Katie. I then received a lovely letter and generous donation from another dear batty-loving friend wishing to help our bats, and us. I cannot thank you enough Bridget for your kindness.

Earlier this week we also had to drive quite a distance to release little Snoozy, my dear Brown long-eared bat. After a cat attack, Snoozy had been presumed dead: wrapped in paper for five days and was nearly buried alive.

After releasing Snoozy and watching him fly free above the finder’s garden, we all chatted together for a while. As we were about to leave, Tim, the finder, presented me with flowers and an envelope that contained a beautiful homemade greetings card displaying batty artwork, a lovely message, plus some money. It was a lovely surprise and also lovely to learn that Tim is now a bat enthusiast and protector.

I cannot thank you all enough for your kindness and support – really appreciated. xx!?
