It was raining, windy, and a cold start to Toad Patrol.
Rescued 6 toads on the track. 2 prs in amplexus.
On the road to the village:
2 dead smooth newts. 
Rescued 1pr toads in amplexus toodling along the road.
Rescued 1 female and 1 male toad both about 1/2 ml away from the pond.
Thankfully the rain stopped and was just about to call it a night when I spotted this little female smooth newt heading toward 2nd pond outside the village. A good way to end the p.m.
