Extremely wet and windy weather, and as expected, no sign of any of our housemartins today. I just hoped they were all okay.
Tonight, am sat typing up my bat rescue info. and feeling sorry for all the bats unable to fly and feed. Outside a whoosh of wind whistled around the cottage and I also wondered where the housemartins go when the weather is like this. At that precise moment, and in answer, I suddenly heard tweeting coming from the housemartin nest outside the study window. 
Awwhhh…bless ’em…such perfect timing, and so reassuring. It also sounded like a chunter…lol! I think one was telling the other to budge up a bit, or maybe to stop snoring.
