A lovely surprise

Feb 9, 2022 | Diary, Family, Wildlife

Tiny midge-like insects buzzing around the remains of old seedheads from last year’s meadow and pond plants. I knew it was going to be warm but this is unbelievable. Have just taken Freya for a sunny woodland walk without my jumper or coat. It was beautiful. Bird song filling the air: siskins, tits, nuthatch, chaffinch: bumble, honey bees and this little critter buzzing around the snowdrops, bluebells peeping up through the woodland floor: mallards and moorhens paddling around on the nearby golf lake. I know it shouldn’t be, but it was lovely.

🦇🦇 Wow….I’ve also just received a lovely surprise. A battie donation that will go a long way toward helping our future rescued batties. Thank you so much Julie. xx 🦇🦇

Blue, sunning himself. A lovely afternoon Studio view. He’s been doing a lot of this recently.
