Yay…my bat flight extension in the sunshine, and thank you Brian. x We had worked like the clappers together, and our bats were finally able to fly in the fresh air. It certainly made a difference to their behaviour: even those that are struggling to be airborne… it put a spring in their step. Unbeknowst to me a small moth had also ventured in, and my BLE suddenly zig zagged mid flight… I think he may have had an opportunistic snack..
The new flight looks a bit Heath Robinson, but it is secure, no sharp edges, and no little gaps for would be escapees, and it was a delight to see my bats utilising the extra area for the first time.
