Wolf and Reindeer

Original Painting Medium: Graphite Pencil
Scientific Name: Canis lupus
Region: Northern hemisphere

My artwork, ‘Wolf & Reindeer’, is a pencil portrait. Wolves work together in order to catch large prey such as herbivores: elk, moose and caribou; they will also hunt rodents, rabbit, squirrels and smaller prey on their own.

Wolves are mainly meat eaters, carnivores, but they also enjoy a variety of other foods such as berries and other fruits, worms, grubs and vegetation. To avoid having their food stolen by other predators and to also avoid being attacked wolves will consume their food very quickly.

My wolf drawing was produced for the book, ‘A New Era for Wolves and People’ written by Dr. Marco Musiani.
