In this drawing a lone wolf is travelling down a man-made road during the early hours of the morning. My artwork, ‘Lone Wolf’, is a pencil portrait.
The strongest and largest wolves are often the alpha members of the group. The omega wolf is often the runt and at the bottom of the pecking order of a wolf pack. Order within the pack is established and maintained through ritualized fights and posturing. Rank and positions shift constantly as challenges are made and as a result, older wolves may periodically have to concede defeat. The loser of such a confrontation may be chased away from the pack. Young male wolves will also leave their family in order to search for a pack of their own.
