A LoofCo Washing-Up Pad is 100% biodegradable and can be composted.  A perfect alternative to plastic washing-up sponges that continually release microplastics into our water and environment.

Loofahs are from the cucumber family and when harvested, they are washed, de-seeded, and dried.

The Washing-Up Loofah Pad fits neatly into the hand and when the loofah pad is immersed in water, it will immediately swell and become a soft, spongy, and flexible pad.  Used as normal, in warm water with washing-up liquid; Loofah Washing-Up Pads are easy, efficient, not scratchy, and a pleasure to use.  Loofah pads are soft enough for non-stick pans and supple enough to fit into mugs.

A LoofCo Pad expands so much that after use, you just squeeze out the excess water and unlike other washing-up scourers it doesn’t clog up.  If it is necessary, just shake out any food particles before hanging them to dry. You can now say goodbye to smelly kitchen scourers! A loofah pad soon dries and is always ready for use.

For aftercare: wash by hand, or for a deep clean; soak in oxygenated Bio Laundry bleach, and then just hang to dry. Alternatively, soak for a few hours in white or apple cider vinegar – 1 part vinegar to two parts water. Your loofah can also occasionally be refreshed in the washing machine if need be.  No need for harmful chemicals

LoofCo Washing-Up Pads are long-lasting and will last for months with normal use.  As a LoofCo Washing-Up Pad is 100% natural plant and cotton; at the end of its natural life just pop the loofah onto your compost heap or into your compost bin.
