Larmer Tree Temple c. 1895 – c. 1907
During 1989, I moved to the Larmer Tree Gardens in the village of Tollard Royal, Wiltshire. I lived and worked from The Flat, within the Larmer Tree Lodge, situated within the Larmer Tree Gardens, and this was my home for many years. I feel very fortunate to still be producing art from my lovely little Larmer Tree Studio flat.
The Larmer Tree Victorian Gardens, created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880, contain a wonderful collection of ornate buildings, including the beautiful Larmer Tree Temple, set amid the majestic trees and intimate arbours. The Larmer Tree Gardens are situated in the middle of Cranborne Chase; surrounded by woodland walks and stunning scenery. I have always felt very privileged at being able to live and work in such beautiful surroundings.
