It’s been a long while since I posted anything arty and months since I updated my News Journal, so thought I’d do a quick catch up, and say Hi.

Life for everyone has been turned upside-down and inside-out and it has been pretty full-on in this neck of the woods too.

In January, my hubby Brian had a major op. Unfortunately we were unaware that it had been unsuccessful and sadly due to lock down, were unable to see the consultant or visit a hospital.  Meanwhile, I also managed to damage my knee, and just to add a further complication: learned that my Larmer Tree studio had fallen victim to the virus.  The estate have kindly offered me a choice of alternative studio spaces, but not wishing to make a rush decision, we have been focusing on moving and organising storage elsewhere. So in-between Dr and Hosp. appts we have been busy making plans and moving 31 years worth of studio equipment, art and gallery items. It has been a busy summer!

Whilst
Brian has been dismantling cupboards, shelves, relocating, erecting and lining sheds; I’ve been packing boxes and during the sunnier weather painted and waterproofed our ol’ pigeon loft a pretty shade of green.  It was initially intended as more storage space… but ended up being converted into bat housing/bat hospital and gym.

Years ago, thankfully we also built a lovely, light, airy studio in our garden, and this has now been converted into my new ‘Pier Gate  Studio’. It has a really good feel to it, lovely views, and is a super base from which to work from.

I have truly appreciated your support whilst based at Larmer Tree – it has been a great pleasure meeting so many different folk from all walks of life and from all parts of the world.  My vision for the future includes welcoming visitors once again to my new Studio here at home, and having lots of arty fun.  Long term, I envisage having a fabulous, Nature In Art studio/gallery offering lots of space and light and look forward to investigating the properties offered by the estate.  There is no rush though, and in the meantime, I have my gorgeous studio here in our garden with my website and business still up and running, so please feel free to shop, visit and do keep in touch.
