On a brighter note, little Queenie is looking much better and stronger. Her breast feathers are also looking a deeper red colour. The cheeky monkey still follows us both around the garden and here she is outside my studio. Am feeding her 4-5 times a day, but it’s worth it to see her looking so perky.
The rainfall is a blessing for all our wildlife, but they still need a helping hand. We have blackbirds, dunnocks, goldfinches, greenfinches and blue tits visiting. Leaving the grass to grow long and meadow-like has definitely helped increase the insect activity, providing food for our bats and birds.
