Just been in touch with the British Hen Welfare Trust The next rescue of girls going to slaughter in our area, is at the end of April. Seems like ages away…but two possibly three more girls will be joining us then. Cannot wait.
The photo is of two of our previous rescues sunbathing for the first time. It never ceases to amaze how they instinctively know what to do; whether it be stretching out in the sunshine or scratching around in the soil for worms, albeit a bit wobbly on their feet. Bless ’em!
