Your payment for your purchase is processed securely by PayPal. We accept payments made with PayPal only. PayPal accept the following debit/credit cards: MasterCard, Eurocard, AMEX, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Maestro, Discover.
Alternative methods of payment can also be arranged including; Cheques in (pounds sterling), Foreign Transfer, International Money Orders and MoneyGrams. Please contact for further details. Cheques should be made payable to Susan Shimeld.

On receipt of your order, we will confirm your order details. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch to you of the Products ordered, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with our instructions.
Orders are usually dispatched within 7 working days. Depending on availability, the item may take up to 28 days to arrive. If your order is urgent please notify us and we will inform you of the expected delivery date.
The buyer is responsible for any additional customs and duties on receipt of the package.
Shipping And Handling
All products including Original Paintings, Fine Art Prints and Greetings Cards are posted using one of the services below -
UK Delivery - Royal Mail: First Class, Recorded, Special Delivery, Parcel Force.
International Deliveries: Airmail, International Signed For, Airsure.
Special Delivery for urgent orders can be arranged if necessary. Please contact Susan Shimeld for further details.
Unless requested otherwise, all Original Artwork is presented mounted and framed, ready to be collected from the Gallery.
Original artworks delivered within the UK and Overseas will be mounted and framed with a glazed museum quality, scratch resistant perspex and not glass. This is to ensure that the artwork arrives at the requested destination in perfect condition. The glazing has the shine and transparency of glass but is an extremely high-strength material that is easy to keep clean, easier to handle and ensures safe transit. It is also lighter in-weight than glass; therefore reducing postal costs. If you would prefer to receive an Original Artwork framed please contact.
Packaging: We recycle as much packaging as possible. Remember that cardboard can be recycled, after the tape has been removed, either as green waste at a local recycling centre or as a valuable component of your home compost.
If you order more than one item they may arrive seperately. If goods have not been delivered within the specified time, please contact immediately.
If your item is not in stock, we will advise you immediately of the expected in-stock date. If you would rather not wait, you may cancel the ordered item and we will refund you for the goods we cannot immediately deliver. Alternatively if you would prefer to choose another item you may do so if you wish.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may return it. Please notify us in writing or by email within 3 days of receipt of the goods. Once we have received the product(s) and if appropriate, any packaging, a refund will be credited. Please note, the buyer is required to pay for shipping fees on any returned product. We will happily exchange the goods or refund the purchase price minus the postage and packing costs, within 7 days of receipt of returned goods; provided that the goods are returned in their original packing, in perfect condition. Returned goods must also include your name, address, customer number and the invoice delivery note number.
FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS
If goods are found to be damaged on arrival, we will require you to provide photographic proof of the damage. Customers may receive a replacement or a full refund, including postage and packing, provided that they notify us of the problem, in writing or by email, within 48 hours of receipt of the consignment.
When returning damaged goods please return all packaging materials with the item, plus any damaged pieces of the item, and include your name, address, customer number and invoice delivery note number. Provided the postal insurance services deems the damage to the packaged item to be a fault caused by their services; a refund for the damaged goods including the postal charges will be made within 7 days of receipt of their written confirmation. We will work closely with you and keep you informed as to progress regarding your claim.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND OUR LIABILITY
Whilst you are deciding whether to retain your purchase, you do have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of our goods and they remain your responsibility until they arrive safe and sound with us, at the Studio.
We reserve the right to inspect all goods that are returned to us so please do not damage the goods whilst you inspect them. This includes any original packaging and labels, particularly if the packaging forms part of the goods i.e. boxed gift items.
We do not accept liability for any goods that do not reach us, nor can we accept liability for any goods that may be returned to us by mistake. It is therefore advised that any goods you may wish to return are done so via a recorded delivery service and retain the proof of postage. In the event that substantial damage has been caused to the product then we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange.
Where goods are returned damaged or not in their original packaging, we reserve the right to refund you in full less any deductions due by way of compensation for any damage that may have been caused. In the event that substantial damage has been caused then we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange.
Once we have received the product(s) and if appropriate, any packaging, a refund will be credited to the correct payment within 14 days. Please note this usually takes between 5 - 7 days but may take up to 14 days.
TAKING CARE OF OUR GOODS
You will naturally wish to inspect the products you order; however, whilst you are deciding whether to keep your purchases, you do have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods. Therefore, please ensure you do not damage the items (or the packaging where it forms part of the goods, for example, boxed gift items and, if you wish to return anything, that it reaches us in perfect condition.
Where you have failed to take reasonable care of the goods, whether whilst in your possession or when returning them, we reserve the right to refund you in full less any amount due by way of compensation, to either repair the goods or to cover any loss.
If a customer states an item was not received but the postal service delivery confirmation notates the item was delivered, we will not issue a refund. We will however, work with you to file any report required by the postal services in the event you suspect theft. Please check with others living in your home, and nearby neighbors, before assuming the package has been stolen. More often than not an item can be tracked down and found.
If the item you purchased was either lost or damaged in shipment, we will work closely with you to file a claim.
Should a parcel be returned to us unclaimed, we require the buyer to pay for any shipping fees we incur on any returned product.
Refusing to accept a package, not claiming a package in person at the destination post office, or failing to reschedule delivery with the destination post office, constitutes an unclaimed package. It is the buyers responsibility to either reschedule delivery with their Post Office or pick up their package at their delivery Post Office per the terms on the notice left by the postal services.
If we receive a returned unclaimed package, we will contact you regarding your unclaimed package and will only refund the purchase price, minus shipping and a 15% restocking fee after you have written and confirmed that you do not wish us to re:ship the item. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact us on receipt of our notification of an 'unclaimed package' email, in order to receive the original purchase price, minus shipping and a 15% restocking fee, issued on items returned to me unclaimed. If the package is requested to be returned, the buyer accepts all costs incurred to re:ship.
We will not be responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address provided by the buyer. Packages deemed undeliverable due to an incorrect address will NOT be refunded. If the package becomes lost or damaged during it's failed delivery attempt to the wrong address, the buyer accepts all responsibility. If the package is returned, the buyer accepts all costs incurred to re:ship.
Promotional Discounts & Refunds
If you used a promotional discount when paying for your order, the discount is applied to each item in the basket. In the event of a return, you will not be refunded the discounted amount.
We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT charges will be made at present.
Credit Card Security
A secure link is set up between the shopper's browser and PayPal. An encryption code is requested and received, which then wraps the order and transaction details before leaving the shopper's premises. Card numbers are only decrypted after they reach their destination. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Terms and Conditions
Once a commission has been accepted, as a good will gesture, a deposit of 25% is requested with the order.
When the completed artwork has been approved, the final payment may be made either by BACS, Credit Card, Cheque (pounds sterling) or by MoneyGram. On receipt of payment the commissioned artwork will be posted immediately and tracked en-route to the specified postal address.
When posting framed portraits, a light weight glass substitute is used in preference to glass for safety whilst in transit.
The Artist, Susan Shimeld, will retain copyright on all her artwork and photographs. On acceptance of the commission, the Client agrees that all reproduction and publishing rights, of artwork and photographs, remains with the Artist, Susan Shimeld. Commissioned artwork may be used by the Artist, Susan Shimeld, for promotional purposes; including the sale of fine art prints and greetings cards, and for any other purpose. Clients comments, in part or whole, may be displayed by the Artist, Susan Shimeld @ www.natureinart.com Please be assured that the privacy of Clients will be respected at all times.
If commissioned artwork is found to be damaged on arrival, please notify within 48 hours of receipt of the consignment. If for any reason a commissioned artwork is not to satisfaction, the fee, minus the deposit, will be refunded on receipt of returned artwork provided that the goods are returned in their original packing, in perfect condition. Please note that postage and packing charges are not refundable.
Your Statutory Rights
Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or damaged goods.
