Happy Christmas!!
We are off to Snowdonia for our holiday soon and cannot wait. Hopefully it will also be inspirational regarding some landscapey artworks.

For the past 12 months we have been collecting tools and equipment on behalf of Tools for Self Reliance and Tools With A Mission.
Today we finally delivered our first collection of old, good quality tools to be refurbished. Thank you to everyone who has donated their old unused Blacksmithing, Building, Plumbing, Car, Bicycle repairing, Tinsmithing, Shoemaking, Leather and Metal working tools plus Sewing Machines and Sewing equipment etc.
There is now a large space again in our garage waiting to be filled with old unwanted good quality tools. If you can spare a minute, please have a rummage in your garage, shed or sewing box and see if there is anything you no longer use or do not need anymore - it would be very much appreciated. Please see my Events page or Assorted Links for further details.
Summer
Much of this year, has been spent either working on my website or printing my new 'Giclee' Greetings Cards and Fine Art Prints. The website has been an ongoing project for the past 2 years and my sincere apologies to those who have been visiting from the start, you deserve a medal, especially Steve! The site has functioned after a fashion but has been slow at times - thanks to all who have continued to revisit. As I am not technically minded it has been a huge learning curve but, after optimising images, redesigning, adding new pages, making banners am pleased with the results so far and hope that you are suitably impressed too.
A website should not be static and I look forward to developing it further as time goes on, please remember to revisit periodically. Also if you have any suggestions, other than employing a website design company, do let me know.
Among the many new additions to my website has been my Guest/Comments Book. It is brand new, empty and therefore looking a little sad, if you have a minute, please say Hi and sign in. It would be good to hear from you. Also if you have a website and would like to exchange links, Great! Please get in touch.
Another plus has been the addition of WorldPay to my Gallery Shop. PayPal was proving to be temperamental and apparently it was quite a lengthy process filling in all the forms. I have now installed WorldPay as my Secure Server and as they accept credit card payments, customers will find it much quicker and easier to purchase artwork. World Pay also has an excellent reputation as a Secure Server and I am really pleased to have been accepted by them. It's all exciting stuff!
As the printing and computing work has not left anytime for drawing, at present, there are only a few new artworks in the Gallery. Do revisit though, as now that the website is 'doing its thing' - am looking forward to getting back into the Studio soon. It's been a long time.
I hope that you approve of the alterations and new additions to the website and look forward to hearing from you. Will update my Diary page as and when something riveting happens.
In the meantime if you have any news, views or forthcoming events that you would like to advertise, just let me know and I will advertise them here.
Have fun,
Su
February 2004
In August 2003 I decided that it was time to purchase my own Fine Art Printer. As you can imagine there has been much to learn and it has been a hectic and exciting six months. One of the highlights for me was during November 2003 when my new venture and printing skills were put to the test.
I am a keen conservationist and have supported a wide range of conservation groups for many years. Birute Galdikas, the founder of the Orangutan Foundation, was giving a lecture at the Zoological Society in London. Having admired Birute and followed her work for many years, I had booked my tickets for the event.
A couple of weeks later I was delighted when the Orangutan Foundation invited me to display and sell my Artwork, Fine Art Prints and Greetings Cards at the venue. As the event was only a four weeks away, the following weeks were extremely busy, but it was all worth while. It was a fantastic evening. I met some super people and sold many 'Baby Orang' Fine Art Prints and Greetings Cards. To top it off I also met Birute, a lovely and gentle lady. I was on cloud nine!
Thank you to Ashley, Lisa, Martha and everyone at the Orangutan Foundation for a great evening and Thank you Birute, for all that for all that you do and have done, for the Orangutans.
